CKEditor 5 Plugin Pack for Drupal 7

Nickel City Creative now offers full CKEditor 5 Plugin Pack support for Drupal 7. Extended support clients have access to the latest version of the plugin pack with advanced Drupal 7 integration.

The CKEditor 5 Plugin Pack is an official set of free plugins, maintained by CKSource, adding to and extending the functionality of CKEditor 5 for Drupal.

CKEditor 5 Plugins

Plugins included in the CKEditor 5 Plugin Pack for Drupal 7 maintain feaure parity with their Drupal 9+ counterparts, including the same toolbar buttons, text filters, AJAX interfaces and the ability to configure their settings per text format. Plugins that utilize config entities, such as the Templates plugin, have been ported to the CTools Exportable API which provides a similar UI and export capabilities.

The following plugins are currently available:

Auto Image

Automatically converting a URL to an image file into an <img> tag using the Auto Image plugin.

Identifies links to .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, and .ico files pasted into the editor, automatically converting them into images.

Block Indentation

Indenting a block of text using the Block Indentation plugin.

Indicate the beginning of a new section or a change of topic with twenty levels of indentation for text blocks.

Find and Replace

Finding and replacing a word using the Find and Replace plugin.

Quickly locate and replace text using a dialog or dropdown menu, optionally matching case or whole words only.

Fonts

Altering text colors, sizes and font families with the Fonts plugin.

Customize font family, font color and font background color. Limit content authors to predetermined options.

Full Screen Mode

The editor maximized, covering the entire browser window, using the Full Screen Mode plugin.

Allow content authors to maximize the size of the editor, expanding it to the size of the browser window.

Highlight

Highlighting text with a yellow marker using the Highlight plugin.

Bring attention to specific text passages by altering font (pen) or font background (marker) colors.

Link Attributes

Toggling an option to open a link in a new window using the Link Attributes module.

Provide authors with a list of named customizations that can be applied to links, altering their HTML to open in a new window, change their appearance, etc.

Page Break

Inserting a page break between two text blocks using the Page Break plugin.

Insert hidden pages break elements into content, separating sections into dedicated pages when they are printed or exported into PDF /Word.

Select All

Selecting the entire contents of the editor using the Select All plugin.

Enable content authors to select the contents of the editor in a single click.

Templates

Browsing the template library and embedding a custom pricing table template using the Templates plugin.

Create a library of reusable HTML structures that can be easily searched for and embedded.

Text Transformation

An incomplete list of available text transformations, including automatically turning three periods into a single elipsis character.

Select predefined or add custom rules that will make automatically adjustments to text which matches a given pattern.

To-do Document List

Three example checkbox lists with various checkboxes already checked created using the To-do List plugin.

Add lists of checkboxes, often used for recipe ingredients or project supplies.

Word Count

An editor filled with example text displaying the current word and character counts provided by the Word Count plugin.

Display a count of the current number of works and/or characters entered into the editor.

WProofreader

The WProofreader plugin suggesting corrections to a misspelled word.

Integrates the WProofreader grammar and spell checker. Includes a free version with some restrictions and a 50,000 words/day limit.
